Members freeridstylee
Can't go wrong with a good ol muff. some things to consider; get a boost pedal to put in front of the muff. and also the big muff is troublesome in a live band situation because the mids are cut pretty drastically. To combat this look into a graphic eq.
Members loofery
I got a Fulltone Soulbender, I really like it, they're got good resale value if you happen to dislike it, which i don't think will happen. can't go wrong with a soulbender, new or used, for the price edit: I'm assuming those two bands I don't know are indy or alt. The soulbender is more of a classic fuzz. You should look into the ICBM fuzz, Tonefactor has em.
Members Mr. Shankly
Based on what your looking for I would say an SCOD (does the Kyuss thing very well) or a Skreddy Mayo which does the Pumpkins sound really well.

Members Jon Hiller
You know, if you wanted to get about a gazillion different fuzz sounds, you could save a couple weeks longer and get a Vexter Fuzz Factory for about 30.00 more. Bunch of nice fuzz suggestions above, too. Maybe you just need to save up and get one of each.
Members PFDarkside
I was in a search like you with a similar budget, I ended up with an ICBM. I wanted something with clarity and that's what you get, along with the massive fuzz associated with a Muff.

Go with one of the Skreddy pedals. You can also try the Demeter Fuzzulator pedal or the Demeter Double D. I would stay away from the noise makers that are out there
