I won't make specific recommendations because I haven't tried out everything out there -- most of my stuff is fairly cheap. I will say that it's better to try before you buy, or at least buy from somewhere with a good return policy, because what sounds good on one guy's rig may not sound good with yours. I used to have a DC5 and can tell you that a Boss SD1 actualy makes it sound smoother and more Marshall like. I used one at all times with that amp to warm it's tone up.
