Members aarockla
I don't know if this is up for direct comparison, but these are two I'v been looking at recently, to get me an old time-y fuzz with vibe sound. For the Mayo, I have a Magicboy Vibe already, and if I didn't get the CC2, I'd prob get the Octron eventually. Or I could just get the CC2. WHich is better, the combo of three pedals, or teh CC2, or is just a matter a preference. If someone would like to offer some pluses and minuses of each that'd be great. THanks Also, I have a Fuzz Factory too, just through that into the mix of fuzz sounds.
Members aarockla
no one has an opinion? I'd think that these were two of the more talked about pedals on the forum. I did a search already, and read up on them individually, but I was wondering who could offer a direct comparison, or insight.
Members inscho
I think I would prefer the flexibility of 3 individual pedals over the cc2...but you can't go wrong either way.
Members Wilbo26
Hmmm, well if you already have a vibe and fuzz that you like, the CC2 might not be the best way to go. The Octron can do the same things the octave on the CC2 does and a lot more, so it might make a better compliment to your rig than the CC2. I have a CC2, and its easily my favorite pedal. Best vibe I've ever heard, the hot silicon fuzz card rocks my world and when I need it the octave delivers that steel drum type sound. Only reason I can think of to not have it is if you already have a vibe and fuzz that you're happy with. Its pretty much 3 stand alone pedals built into one box so I don't think 3 separate pedals are going to give you any more versatility than the CC2 does. Hell, you can stick whatever pedals you want in between the various effects, as each one has its own in/out jacks so you can order the effects however you want.
