Members YourHerodDGC
After seeing him live this weekend, i would have to say Stephen Malkmus. I tend to make things a little heavier though.

Members TIKILOCKEDOUT
{censored}, I have no idea ... honestly no-one has ever made any comment about my guitar playing in that way ... someone is welcome to listen to my clips at myspace and make suggestions if they like.Oh, actually the only reference I ever got was Brian James from the Damned - that made me happy. Members usa83strat
i get Keller Williams on acoustic On electric, it varies on my mood. though i dont play just like them, but the influences of the followig are apparent: Trey Anastasio Jimmy Hendrix David Gilmour Sid Barrett B.B King Billie Joe Armstrong (yeah i know, but when i stated playing i really liked green day, so i learned a lot of their songs, and i really studied his style)
Members whowasthursday
I'm playing right now in a band with Dale Baker, the drummer for Sixpence None the Richer, and he said that my playing reminds him a lot of Matt Slocum (the sixpence guitarist)... THAT really made my day... I've always thought Matt Slocum was great.
Members Gorgon90
I've been told by other musos at times that I've had a Hendrix or Santana vibe going on, although I have never actually sat down and tried to clone their style. My favourite guitarists who inspire me do include the above but I'd like to get some more of the following in there as well: Gilmour Clapton (Cream era) Gary Moore (Blues and pre blues heavy rock periods). AC-DC - both Young brothers are superb. Jeff Healey Brian May Status Quo - simple works - and it isn't easy - try keeping that rhythm going for a two hour set - ouch! Too many others to mention... Members english_bob
Once I was accused of sounding like Roy Buchanan. Wrong, but flattering. I think one time at a blues night someone said I sounded like the dude out of Canned Heat. I don't even know his name, or any of his music other than "On The Road Again". I'd like to think I sound like a combination of Paul Kossoff, Graham Coxon and Jonny Buckland from Coldplay.
Members mumford
Ty Tabor or Neil Young, depending on what I'm playing. Yeah, I know, opposites. But people are full of contradictions.
Members murch33
When I'm playing softer stuff I try to aim for a Mikael Akerfeldt vibe. For heavier stuff I'm usually going for sort of an Isis/Pelican/Mono thing. Whether or not I actually sound anything like that is a mystery. None of my friends know any of my influences. Members GuyaGuy
according to StratAtak83 my voice sounds like Jack Nicholson; according to inscho it's more like a pederast. as for my playing...dunno. no-one's mentioned me sounding generally like on player. friends have pointed out that a certain song sounds like Sabbath, Sigur Ros, and Bach--3 different friends but the SAME SONG! Members DonaldDemon
I have been told my influences of Page and Hendrix are noticeable on many occasions. The one that I got from strangers at shows a few times is Dave Navarro? I never even listened to Jane's or the Chili Pepper's when he was in it. I since have bought "One Hot Minute" and I can kind of see it. Great album btw!

Members endo23
Ed O'Brien? or maybe Trey Anastasio circa '97, when he was obsessed with funk... which is just a nice way of saying Trey Anastasio with less theory/technique.
