Members Fourth Floor
Uh...yeah. The burst is sweet. I didn't think it'd look that good (wolfmother aside).Went down to Billy hyde today. They have a Cherry SG ($2999 they have up for $2250). It's in stock at least. They also have some other Standards and a couple of the classics.Went back to jackson's too and played the 56 relic strat through the 68 super reverb (just $11K for the two) - sweeeeeeeet!!and for everyone else, I now know what Tiki is like in person

Well you know who was suggesting a price of about 2K for the Standard - it's tempting to ring around with that price and see how much lower I can get ... I know one place that would try and beat it in town too. I thought you might have gone back to check on your long lost sweetheart relic'd strat after yesterday .... I think you two have a date with destiny! I'll PM re your gig last night etc ... be keen to hear how things went and all. Yeah and Wolfmother aside, I didn't think the natural burst would look as good either until I checked the Gibson website and saw it with mine own eye's. Members 4Kenoath
Natural burst easily. If it had black in the burst, then it would be a tight call and probably the red for me then.

Yup gotcha ... yeah I think the natural burst is pretty classy and it also appealed because it reminded me of the burst I have on my Ovation Deacon which is very lush. Yeah, I've had closet gas for an SG for years ... I'll buy one for sure. It will kind of take the place of my TYM also. I am kind of wanting something a bit different from my Ovations and I may be wanting to retire my Ovations due to sentimental value also - the SG I can replace any time.
