Members fatbackribs
After reading badmuddy's post a while back I looked into getting a Whirligig. Mine arrived this week and I'm really digging it. He wasn't kidding, it's "Cold Shot" in a can. Analog triumphs again! here's a quick demo I made last night: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9166401200945127755
Members threm
I ordered the Whirligig today Not much about it yet, only made in small batcheshttp://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=144283&highlight=whirligig I`ve got the older and the newer Voce Spin and a Digitech RPM-1, but the Whirligig is more board friendly and sounds convincing from the clips I`ve heard. Members fatbackribs
I think you'll dig it. It's size and it's ability to work with distortion without choking the sound or creating digital artifacts has made the Whirligig a keeper for me. As was pointed out on a different thread, a Third-Hand controller pedal would be the shiznitt with this little guy to enable manual ramping. I am looking to order one this week. Might sound just fine with a synth too on a slow sweep. The board here doesn`t seem to notice this pedal. They`re too busy discussing all kinds of cheesy chorus pedals. Members gappie
nice that the whirligig gets some more press. it is so natural sounding. i have the older two knob unit and really love the sound. ps: there was a tread about it some time ago: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=924195&highlight=calypso
Members gappie
a bump for a great pedal and a nice vid. the unit i have does not have a depth knob. how much influence on the sound does this knob have. and what is its reach. i wonder if there are more differences between the older and this unit?
