Members UltraBoy
When I play my regular gigs every week at a venue that holds about 200 people...I'm using right now my F50 with my Sunface, FF2, and the Keely DS-1. All the volumes on my other dirt boxes are at about noon(my Sunface's vol is at 2:00), but the DS-1 I have to keep the volume at less than 9:00 cause its so loud, but this sounds horribly thin and raspy. I know this pedal can sound good, but how? At lower volumes? Another pedal?

Maybe I expected this pedal to be better than it was.

Members UltraBoy
*Update* Took it home, its sounds great on the Carr Rambler and I can get the level up to 12:00 and thats about unity gain. So, why does it sound loud and horrible with the F50?
Members SoulSerenade
Could be that the F50 emphasizes some of the mid-high to high frequencies of the DS-Ultra and the Rambler doesn't. I've found many OD/Distortion pedals that sound awesome with one amp, and horrid with another. All the more reason to know what kind of amp someone is using when they say a distortion pedal sounds awesome/horrid. Glad that you found a combonation that works.
