Awesome purchase!

Couldn't be happier.

Thanks to all that recommended it prior to my purchase.

Now I can join all those that recommend it.

My only criticism:

I just wish it would have come with the black stovetop knobs instead of the white.

I've had all the comps (and many different versions of the comps as well). Analogman, keeley, Atomic, Maxon, Boss....

There were things about the AM comprossor that I liked quite a bit but for the workhorse comp it was the Keeley that shined. This thing is awesome. I've had mine for years. One of the few pedals that I have never bought then sold, then bought again. Just purchased one and that's it.

Welcome to the revolution

Why do you think these pedals sound so good?

Yeah, yeah, yeah...but the Keeley Comp rocks and that's cool!

Who cares?? You making yours true bypass??? The point of this thread was that someone was very happy with their effect pedal.
The Keeley rocks that's all nothing more...at any given point in time the Keeley will always be worth $150 more than your idea of compression in pedal..but for the budget minded guitarist your mod is great and like you said similar, but not studio quality. But please have fun with your mod and remember to use compression wisely!

Why are you pissing on peoples' chips? Did a Keeley Comp kill your parents or something?

I have a Keeley and it is, quite simply, a fantastic pedal. Beautifully made, great component choices and backed up with fantastic service too. I aspire to one day reach Keeley's levels of quality.

It certainly is all about the tone.:thu:

That's why I sold my BiComp when A/B-ing it with the Keeley. The Keeley was much more toneful than the Ross side of the BiComp. I then bought an Analogman Juicer because the Juicer side of the BiComp is a killer pedal - A totally different beast than Ross-type comps and just perfect for chickin'-pickin' and other types of playing.

Props to Keeley for amazing customer service and even better pedals.
