Members outstanding Posted June 29, 2006 Author Members Share Posted June 29, 2006 ya I just dont know were to start.I used to dig going in there but I always get a bad vibe anymore.All the salesmen are like pushy used car salesmen,like their about to go out of bussiness.Ive bought alot of things(pedals)at the new price and after opening the box realizing ve just been dueshed with someones broken returned pedal.They let you jam on a pedal like a line 6 dl4 for 5 minutes and then their up your ass to ring it up,and while your just {censored}ing with the knobs they pretend theve just heard the hottest {censored}ing lick of all time.Dont pattronize me you bastards!!! (no pun intended) Yeah, guitar center can suck, especially some stores, but if thats the case, just don't buy from them. Ebay and HCFX are your friend! I detected a 'wee bit o' atitude' after making seemingly inaudible off-color remarks about a stock flier indicating that some pissant local band (presumably fronted by one of the 'poseurs' in the local GC) was in search of individuals who could be deemed "rockers". Members outstanding Posted June 29, 2006 Author Members Share Posted June 29, 2006 no,not fired from guitar center.Just from a {censored}ty lumber yard wich was miserable anyway but its still frustrating.Ive been fireds from about 10 jobs in the last couple years,I must be the {censored}tiest employee ever.Anyway,I have only been in for strings lately but they now want to charge me 2.05 for a single d string.It used to be like a buck each at the most for any single string.I actually needed like 4 d string so thats 2 time as much as a pack.I guess to be fair everything is a ripoff these days,pawn shops,ebay.People dont shop around and seem to end up paying more for something used and scratched up than it would cost new if they would just compare prices to a couple of online stores.Its wierd how much some pedals varry. woh!I just re-read what I just wrote and thats some boring {censored}. Haha, I hear ya. Life sucks eh? Just get a pack of strings, or better yet, order them online, its much cheaper to buy strings from online dealers even compared to places like GC. Last time I tried to buy single strings at a guitar store, I think it was a Brook Mays, the guy ended up selling me a bunch of strings I didn't even ask for, but he gave me a good deal because he felt bad that he had no clue what he was doing or something.
