Members mumford
I love Neil Gaiman, but I found Mirrormask unwatchable. Visually I thought it was painfully bad, and the story was meh.
Members veil
I liked it a lot. Reminded me of Labyrinth, and something else.
Members gil1
The story was non-existant.But just when I thought I would beg for the movie to be over, there was a bit that left me floored visually. There were times when I had never seen anything like it, including killer microdot.
Members GuyaGuy
Neil Gaiman is hit and miss w/ me. my faves are stuff like SIGNAL TO NOISE, MR.PUNCH, and VIOLENT CASES. i'm not much into fantasy so a lot of his stuff doesn't hold my interest, but i'll probably end up watching this movie--if only to see Dave McKean doing film work. Members gil1
It was tota;y about a wild visual moment for me. There were about 5 15 min sets that just unglued me.
Members Rid
Great visual, different story layout, like how it was disjointed and just doing its thing, I think I will keep it.
Members GuyaGuy
OK so i just watched it. meh. Gaiman says in the bonus feature interview that MR. PUNCH is the best thing they've done, and i'll agree. no fantasy bits there--just solid story-telling. the only magical bits are in the visuals, a reflection of the wonderment of the child. MIRRORMASK is indeed very LABYRINTH-like. probably good of you're 12 and into fantasy, etc.but i'm a grown man who's NOT into fantasy.some interesting visuals but his style works best in comic form. Members gil1
Great visuals, in this case I could care less about the story. I could have watched it with the sound off.
