Not even sure he likes labeling himself as a Christian. As far as the sound. Good question. That is a nasty dirty sound. The distorted bass helps. When I saw them on the tour for control, he was playing Bass, but the guy from Scientific was playing for him, and was playing a Jagmaster through a Blackface Bandmaster (coulda been Bassman) head through a 2x12 cab. On the ground was a Micro Amp, and an Ibanez AD-9. There used to be a couple studio shots on the PedroTheLion.com site where he had 2 or 3 drawers full of pedals.. mainly dirt boxes.
