Members YourHerodDGC
I asked this in the amp forum, but then i got scared and came back to the place where a few people might know who i am. Would it be bad to play a fender rhodes through my fender pro-reverb?
Members RoboPimp
not bad at all, will sound awesome but if you crank it too far the amp will not handle the extended frequency of the rhodes well and will probably start farting out.
Members LoneStarGuitar
do not see where that would be a problem.. have heard guys use a rhodes through a deluxe reverb, and it was fabulous.
Members PFDarkside
Sounds like a great idea to me... The Pro is ~50W with 4x10", right? As Robo said, the 10's and reduced wattage from a Twin might make the bass fart out quicker, but it should also break up sooner if that 's your thing. (and it is my thing )
Members YourHerodDGC
it's 40 watts into 2x12s
Members YourHerodDGC
update: still no answer in the amp forum. You guys are the best.
Members PFDarkside
Oh sorry, I was thinking of the super... Still, everything should hold true. Of course you got an answer here first, the amp forum doesn't know about Rhodes and Fender amps. You need to be talking about Peaveys, Bogners and Madisons... Members godard
A Fender Twin is considered one of the best amps for it, and any of the Fender tube amps should work great. You may lack some bass on it compared to using 15"s, but a pair of 12"s should still work fine. Sometime I even use mine with a Vibrochamp...
