Members slugger21
Here is my to-get pedal list for the next couple of years I will cross out the ones I already have and let me know what you think of it or if any are bad and should be taken off or if any should be added ($1400 total is my limit) These prices are the prices if you buy them new. I will probably go the used route on most of them. (also is the like an adaptor that comes with a bunch of chords to use on the pedals rather than having a seperate adaptor for each of them? If so let me know where I can find that)BOLD=Pedals I have bought so far Pedals ---------------------------------------------------CostIbanez TS9D Tube Screamer-----------------------$120Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man---------$240Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator-------------------------$100Electro-Harmonix USA Big Muff------------------------$80Boss GE-7 EQ---------------------------------------------$100Boss BD-2 Blues Driver----------------------------------$80Vox V847 Wah Wah--------------------------------------$100Voodoo Lab Super Fuzz---------------------------------$130Digitech Whammy Pedal w/ MIDI----------------------$200Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner-----------------------------$100Boss TR-2 Tremola---------------------------------------$90 TOTALS= 11 Pedals-----------------------------------$1340

Don't forget EH pedals have different power connections that most. 2) Are you going to put them on a board and have you taken the price of that into consideration? 3) What about cables? You need decent cables! 4) Consider putting some of the tone sucking pedals like the TU-2 in a true bypass loop, it will help your tone. 5) Have you treied that tremolo? The volume drop on it might drive you crazy!
Members inscho
boss ac3 is kuhrappy and if you don't mind the size, you may want to try out the ehx pulsar tremolo.
Members Mistersuperfly
Here's how I say you should go...Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator-------------------------$100I don't know what all you will use the Acoustic sim for, but I've never encountered one that sounded remotely good... I say just bring an acoustic and get a DI boxElectro-Harmonix USA Big Muff------------------------$80Good pedal, there are all sorts of boutique fuzzes out there though, try a bunch (I've heard the Mayo is killer)Boss GE-7 EQ---------------------------------------------$100The Dano Fish n' Chips is just as good (some say better) for 1/4 the price, there is a reason a whole bunch of people on this board use it... and if you want something more robust look at the MXR 10-bands... I've heard terrible things about the GE-7 (specifically noisy things)Boss BD-2 Blues Driver----------------------------------$80Good pick, look for a modded Keely (or Analogman) BD-2 on Ebay... just all around better.Vox V847 Wah Wah--------------------------------------$100Don't know much about this one, I know you can't go wrong with a Dunlop Fasel Crybaby... but the Vox may be great, I've also heard good things about Teese wahsVoodoo Lab Super Fuzz---------------------------------$130Meh... plenty of Fuzz pedals out there (just read the effects forum, they are all fuzz crazy) I'm not a big fan of Voodoo Lab pedals.Digitech Whammy Pedal w/ MIDI----------------------$200Good pedal, may want a true bypass loop for it though, I've heard that it bleeds into the signal even when it is off. One of the biggest tone suckers around.Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner-----------------------------$100So many pedals out there now that are better than this one... Check the Korg DT-10 (VERY nice, with a good buffer), the new Planet Waves tuner claims to be more accurate and true-bypass (though I have heard it isn't actually TB, bet it has a good buffer anyway), and the Peterson Strobostomp is the king of all pedal tuners... you'll be happy with yourself if you splurge on the Strobostomp, it also acts as a DI box (xlr out) so that is a plus. The TU-2 is a standard pedal, but from what I've seen, it is a horrible tone-sucker and have noticed major improvements when it is taken out of the chain.Boss TR-2 Tremola---------------------------------------$90Could be good... check out the Catalinbread Semaphore though, as I've heard that it is the best trem around (and it is true bypass)... I use a Empress Tremolo which has a tap tempo, I don't get how people can use a trem without a tap, as far as I'm concerned the Empress is the best (though pricey).Check out the Dunlop DC-brick as far as power goes, and also look into getting patch cables from www.lavacable.com with Canare GS-6 and G&H ends (about 9$ per cable)... They are FAR better than any store bought cheap-o cable... it is your tone, don't let your patches get in the way. You'll fit right in here with all of that... Members paydirt
Well, the good news is that on the used market you can probably cut your estimate in half, which will leave room for the patch cacbles and board and power supply. Personally I would want some sort of phaser (maybe a PH-1r). Are you getting your reverb from your amp? Seems well thought out. You do have quite a few pedals known for tone sucking, so you will want to keep your eye on that. Nice start though.
