Members brewen
Anyone have that new Planet Waves Tuner with true bypass? I'm thinkin about getting one and I wanna know how good it is.
Members BloodTypeBlue
It'll be here next week, probably.Either way, it's cheaper than a TU-2 (new vs. new), so unless it disintegrates upon first stomp, I couldn't think of any reason to not get it. Members El Gallo Negro
I have it. It locks in on the note much better than the TU-2 and it has a better sounding buffer. It is definitely not true bypass though, if that's a selling pont for you.
Members brewen
Really? Thats the only reason i want one....
Members LongJohnny
It has a hard bypass, meaning that it does not go through a buffer. I sell these on my site, and can give a hell of a deal on a new one with warranty. thanks, John
Members El Gallo Negro
They call it "True Hard Bypass," "Hard Bypass," and I think in some text somewhere they even call it "True Bypass," but it's definitely not. Place it in front of your wah, in front of a germanium fuzz, or just A/B your tone with it and wthout it (without using an extra 10 feet of cable to throw your ears off). You'll be able to hear and feel the difference. Actually I was irritated when I first got it, because True Bypass was a large part of why I bought it, but it's still a step up from the TU-2 that I had been using. And it's cheap. I still recommend it, but just know what you're getting.
