I would agree, but only if you need an acoustic sound. But honestly I would pick a taylor over any electric anyday.

Love how they play, but I have never played one that sounded good at all. Unplugged they sound like most acoustics do plugged in-- like an atari 2600 acoustic guitar sound.

Did you try one with the expression system or one with the fishman prefix? Which model? (414ce?) Plugged into what?

I find my 72 tele thinline in the middle pickup setting with tone and volume knobs rolled back to taste satisfies my accousticy urges. I have a Martin D15 too. A great guitar for the price. But I get a lot more enjoyment out of playing and writing with an electric.

Takamine GS330S

Bought mine for $100 new off ebay. Solid cedar top. No pickguard, no inlays. Perfect plain jane. Plays like a champ. Sounds incredible. I thought this sounded better than the Martins and Seagulls I played. Sold my other two Taks because it is that good.
