Members JackBootedThug
Looking for an overdrive/distortion to use as a boost. Chorus pedal and a delay pedal. Nothing exotic, just cheap and decent. Also, any recomendations to check out for the above criteria would be appreciated as well. I'll be boosting a vht pitbull50st. I play at low volume 99.9% of the time and it just needs a little extra mojo. Thanx

Members JackBootedThug
this died a quick death. Someone tell me about visual sound, the jeckell&hyde and liquid chorus. They dont meet my cheap criteria, but they look like my dream pedals.
Members usa83strat
the jeckil and hyde is really cool. but i hate that the distortion is infront of the OD i like to boost my Distortions with Od not the other way around. i dont really like how it sounds when both channels are on unless the dirt side is used as a cleanish boost. the H2o is a great chorus pedal, and in a pinch it can do fattening echos. but its not really a delay the delay going into the chorus makes the chours fat and real filling. i was gonna buy one then i got my BC-9 and i forgot all about the H2O. the gem is the Route66 IMHO, the Od is like a ts808 but a lil more bass responce and clearer treble, plus the bass boot. the comp is cool cause its like a Ross comp it can get real squashy, or can be natural or canbe used to boost the OD. BUT again with the order I preffer TS9/808 type pedasl in front of a Ross style comp. i wish the pedal alowed you to select the order of the effects. this would clear my grudge with the jekill and hyde. The Visual sound pedals have One the best Buffer circuits in the market . specialy the newer revised versions. but even the old ones have a great buffer circuit witch helps prevenp PUp loading and helps drive long cables. i might get another Route 66 as i think the compressor alone is worht the price of the pedal. and the OD can double as a "clean" boost. Now if some one can mod the pedal to allow to select the order of the effects or even ad separate ins and outs for each effects let me now cau i would go out and buy anothyer route66 pronto. hope this helps
