Members jtb
I'm looking to buy a delay pedal but I really have no idea where to start... I want something that sounds similar to the delay the guitarist in Explosions in the Sky uses, if anybody is familiar with that band. Any suggestions? thank yous
Members Wilbo26
A great pedal to start off delay wise is the Digitech Digidelay. The Ibanez DE-7 is another very solid one for the money.

Members pa1mer_eldritch
+1 for the DE7. I can also recommend the AD9, if that's not too Ibanez-centric.

Members PeelingPaint98
For the money I think the DE-7 is the best starter delay in the market. It can easily be had on ebay for 35-55 so I'd start with that see what you prefer for delay, long or short, the darker analogish sounding echo or crisper digital delay and then you can upgrade to a top of the line delay when you decide if it's an effect you really like.
