Members The_Hawker
First of all, I've never used overdrives or distortions before this, instead using my amps distortion. That said I recently aquired a blackface pro reverb that I just couldn't pass up, its clean is that good. I can really only use one amp because it's just not practical for me to carry around more than one to band practice and jams. what distortion or overdrive pedal would help me get a classic rock kind of distortion, with maybe a little more drive on tap for leads and such. I'm not really sure of budget right now, but my limit is probably between 150 and 200 dollars. Thanks
Members Fast Frets
One to consider is the Fulltone OCD. All of my BF Fenders seem to like it. BTW, nice score on the Pro Reverb--I love my '65. When you crank it up it adds some dirt and is plently loud enough. Like much better than the twin I used to have that stayed clean too long for me. :) :)

Members jake.lind
I just read your price range. The extra $34 bucks for the Blackstone is worth it.

Members 89strat
I use a barber direct drive into my deluxe reverb. I keep the drive on about 2:00 and control the gain with my guitar's volume knob to get from light bluesy drive to heavy saturated. The pedal sounds like a second channel's been added to your amp, and sounds great on rythm and on leads with that nice singing sustain like a pushed amp. Sounds great with a les paul or strat. I love the pedal, and they're only around $100 or so.
Members bloodyfingers
I use an HBE Powercreamer with my pro reverb and it's a beautiful match. It's very versatile and it has a lot more balls than a typical TS. It even has a boost channel. This amp also sounds GREAT with just a clean boost driving the front end, which can do by turning the gain down on the PS.

Members TopJimmy5150
I run my '67 with a Fulltone Fulldrive 10th Anniversary model. It adds dirt but doesn't destroy the amps basic tones. The OCD was more of a distortion...tries to turn your amp into a Marshall or something. If I want a Marshall, I'll buy a Marshall...I don't like pedals the mess up the basic tones of an amp, unless the amp is a piece of {censored}, which my Pro is most definitely NOT. The Fulldrive sounds great with my little Vibro-Champ, too.
