I finally got the last pedal Ive been jonesing for today- a lil china cot 50. Ive gotten every pedal I wanted( REALISTICALLY- not in a snotty way)- wow, its wierd to actually be able to say that- and would like some fresh ideas/input.

I reamp often and run synths, vox, drums, basically everything through the pedals and amp. My pedal cravings so far have been relative to my playing and recording as a guitar player. Now I want fun. Strange. Bizarre- BUT always usefull. I get way more work as an engineer than player.

Anyone? Wonderful pedals of strangetuity (yep made that up myself) that might stir the creative spirit? As well as be usefull in other scenarios? (take the ad900 delay- it sounds killer on synths and vox reamped)

And if you record and dont dabble in reamping-YOU ARE MISSING OUT BIG TIME. ESPECIALLY if you play guitar.

Guyaguy-

Reamping for tracking. We reamp anything! On the last song we did, an R&B wedding song-YIKES- I reamped the singer ( his original track - u87 to GML mic pre to GML eq to 1176ln to la2a to protools) through the ad900 to the fender princeton for the delay track ( Also instead of verb on the vox). Then we reamped the picked electric guitar through the ts9 and ad900 to the fender- mic with a 57 (old unidyne version- I like em better) and VOILA you have a WAY bigger and better sounding guitar track.
Its better at times than doubling a track. You can add depth, size and space with out that "doubled sound". ESPECIALLY on single note picking. The typical plug is to record the DI but I just record the amp via a mic and then reamp that track. You can also play with phasing of tracks, which I often like a slight phase.
Then of course the synths and drums. Drums sound AMAZING through the right amp or pedal (ts9 - freaking OBNOXIOUS). And synths can handle just about anything well depending on the sound.
Its just a great way to increase size of guitar tracks or de-digitize your recordings. I use the radial X Amp. It was 180. Worth every penny. Plus its WAY cheaper to buy pedals than another LA2A or GML 8200!!! And they really do inspire. I like to do heavy synth/sample music but I sneak it in on every project, regardless of genre.

I thought about that. I really like dealing with Nicholas, and I love the Semaphore. BUT, Im not quite sure what the hell to DO with the teaser stallion hooked up- It just sounds freakin obnoxious to me! And not a useful obnoxious! Know of any sound clips other than the site that are more musical? My neighbors already hate me.:freak:

I agree, I just wouldn't know what to do with that pedal. Like a lot of the zvex pedals, it's just too far out there for what I play. But I am going to pick up a SCOD.
