Members loofery
So I A/B'd my sovtek greenie with my triangle and they were very close. But they are both amazingly fun to play! Please reccomend some big muff songs to play. Maybe, if I set it up, I can get some clips. But like I said, both models are great and the difference aint that much (the triangle is my fave though)

Members ScreamCage
Somebody suggest so DJr., or at least some White Stripes. I find it terribly fun to play Rage Against the Machine songs with a Muff. Renegades is a favorite of mine. I love laying funk songs, like Eleven, Deee-lite, and a select Gorillaz songs. Anything that wasn't directly ment for the Muff.

Members sethlover
The only place that I have ever heard Hendrix using a Big Muff Pi is from the owner of Electro Harmonix. Quite possibly the most unreliable source for that information. About the only thing I could get my hands on that Hendrix used one is that possibly Mike Matthews (owner of EH) might have asked Jimi to try one out for sh*ts and grins and that's about as far as it went. Is a muff good for psychedelic blues rock? not really imo. you can pull off a mean, metally purple haze / foxy lady with some palm muting of the root notes but generally, stick with a fuzz face for the following reasons:chords dont mush together, and you can dial the fuzz down easily with the volume knob. big muffs are just thick as balls. However, you CAN do some AMAZING swirly tones when you feed a muff into a phaser and that is rather psychadelic. But for more bluesy type stuff, I wouldn't recommend. Yeah, Hendrix supposedly tried a Big Muff prototype before he died. The Big Muff is supposed to be modeled after his tone.
Members YourHerodDGC
I'd really like to hear the difference between the triangle knob and the green russian muffs. I want a muff to be my next DIY project, which should be a permanent member of my board. i'd like to know which one to make.

Members bloodyfingers
Reading all of this is getting me really excited for Gringo Loco's War Pig. Those clips sounded better than any muff I've ever played.
