Members comfortablynumb
Well? I'm just assuming the BYOC sounds a whole lot better than the LBM. Any truth there?
Members gil1
I haven't compared them. But what I can say is, the BYOC sounds great, and was fun and easy to build.
Members Seth Carmody
The BYOC is a triangle clone right? The LBM is more modern-voiced
Members Uma Floresta
Does the Little BM use surface-mount components?
Members PurpleStrat
I just got a Triangle clone built on a GGG board. It is more vintage with less gain then the LBM. Almost Mayo like but with out that extra gain and mojo. The BYOC may be different though. I have never played two Muffs that sounded alike yet. Members vigor&kandor
I would go for the Beaver. Why???.....because i like to build pedals, and because you can control what it sounds like.

Members Prehistoricpain
Get the large beaver.honestly, I love this pedal so much, sounds much better then my Big muff RI. AND, couldnt be any easier to mod. if you want a good authentic muff tone, go for the beaver.

Members fuzzinator
I have a little big muff and a russian black big muff. They sound very similar. Go with the BYOC. I think you'll get more mojo out of it. I really need to go BYOC or find a vintage big muff. Both of mine sound exceedingly modern.

They both are modern sounding but my LBM is way better then my Russian Black Muff. It has way more gain to.
Members fuzzinator
Yeah, I have to A/B my muffs. I bought the Little BM on a whim because a friend highly recommended it. I kinda feel like I'm missing out on something, because both of my muffs sound so modern. I want to hear this magic vintage Rams Head/Triangle mojo stuff! On a side note, I tried a Dunlop Fuzz Face the other day and it was terrible..
