Members bluehuricane
congrats, i have a gt-3 that i don't use anymore, and if the gt-8 just builds on that, it can't be bad. i loved the gt-3 for everything except distortion. good luck with the gt-8! should be a lot of fun
Members Lanefair
Go through each preamp type individually and make notes, do the same with distortion. Ignore the user presets because they all appear in the factory presets. Go through the factory presets and make notes of what you like (check the ctl button on each preset) Oh yeah, have fun. Learn about Assigns as soon as you can.
Members rocker4203
Believe it or not I didn't buy it for the distortions. I am playing through a Peavey Valve King 212 that already sounds great. I toyed with the idea of stompers but by the time you pay for several you can buy an all-in-one, et al the GT-8. I may find something in there I like but for the most part I just want to enhance what I already have. Thanks for the info on taking notes and the CTL!I'll let you know how I like it, soon! Members sahlomonic
Good thing you didn't buy it for the distortion, because I keep reading about GT-8 users who don't like any of the distortions at all.
Members rocker4203
I've read that too, but the demo on the Boss website didn't sound all that bad. I was reading the manual and you have to choose the type of amp you are connecting to. I'll mess with it and see! Thanks though!
