what are your settings? I run mine with the drive at about 4:00 (not all the way up) and the tone rolled back to about 11:00. I did notice that the sound is a little fizzy when it's completely cranked, even after the mod.

I run it a lot lower than what you have typed up...my volume is unity, gain is between 9:00 and 11:00, and tone is around 11:00.
I love what the mod did in terms of the sound, its just the little bit of fizzy trail that kind of annoys me.

That is so weird! My od-3 after the mod the DECAY sounds fizzy in that the "fizz" itself sounds kind of like a big muff with the gain turned all the way down (sort of). Im so confused why...Otherwise I really love what the mod has done to change the tone of the OD.

I did the monte mod
Really great. Very transparant and clear.
You can go from boost to mild overdrive. I also have the BD-2 mod of monte. I don't know yet which one to use with my monte SD-1 808 mod.

Real good value for money and the sound definitly gets better.
