Members jconway
What do you guys think of Morley Power Wahs? I'm looking for a not-so-expensive wah that has the footswitch on the side instead of under the pedal. How is the bypass on these and do they have a good sound. Does anyone have opinions or soundclips? Thanks
Members GuyaGuy
i love old Morley wahs. they have a HUGE sweep and a long travel on the treadle. not a traditional vocal wah. they're more about accentuating harmonics and have a more filter-y sound. you can hear the WVO (same as the Power sans the boost) on Ashes of Hope on the myspace in my sig. Members TeamoDave
If you mean the old chrome Morley Power Wah, it's got a horrible bypass. But don't let that stop you. Get a bypass loop to put it in and it will do you right. Like it was stated above, not your everyday wah. Huge sweep, wider frequency range (to accomodate keyboard use) and an oh so sweet spot with the pedal set halfway. Listen to the second half of the solo on UFO-Strangers In The Night-Lights Out (see avatar) and it cops that tone perfectly.
