Ive seen an 'as new' one advertised !!! They were made in 1987 I think.

Can anyone recomend the action on one of these? Its a wooden weighted action - dose it come anywhere near the MP 9000?

The board weighs more than a P250 but wont be leaving my studio.

Any recomendations?

Can't remember much detail but a friend of mine had one. I used to try to help her configure it for live useage. She wasn't very technical and the user interface was very poor IMO. The action was pretty decent as I recall. I'd go with a Roland A80 (if you don't need after touch (it has it -actually poly AT but it's useless), Peavy CP8 or Oberheim MC3000 if you can find one.

Thanks Marky.

I think im gonna leave it.The guy traded 'up' to a keystation 88 so that dose not say much to me about it quality of action! He had it from new in 1987 so it has got durability going for it.

Yeah the A80 dose have a playable action but on the one I had a lot of the key contacts went screwy.I did renew them all but then sold it - quickly.

I think I see a Studiologic VMK 176-plus in my future.

Are you still enjoying the S90es piano-wise?
