I like some of them, but these are functional objects, not solely art. Not labelling the knobs is just friggin stupid.
Justify it however you want, if I bought a car with a artsy interior, it would be cool right up to the point I needed to turn on the rear defroster or check the gas gauge, then I would be irritated as hell.

pros: unique.

cons: no labeling of labels is {censored}ing whack. the bright colors look like preschool children's vomit-art. the knobs are cheap as hell looking. way, way too busy of designs.

suggestions: if she just used something other than neon and pastel colors, the boxes might be at least interesting to the point where it's tolerable. but as is, the neon and pastels really make the designs look cluttered. just my $.02

Yeah, its not like these are overly complex 9 knob jobs.

I'm still not going to pay extra for custom art on a pedal, but they are fun to look at.

I think they look great. And seeing the maker, who needs labels? I mean, they are mainly fuzz and dirt pedals I would assume. It's not like an infinitephase where you would probably need labels.

And I suppose in some way not labeling controls(on any pedal even) may help open the door to being more creative because it forces you to really listen...
Or...maybe not.

 Art is so subjective. I love her stuff.

Now I'm thinking that one of the things Devi may have used to lure her away from Zvex was more "creative freedom" which is evident right here. And bigger pedals = bigger canvas. I imagine that painting the same designs over and over on those tiny Zvex pedals might become very tedious.

Is that thing back on a burner,or has the idea been scrapped?

:')

I'm seriously considering having her regularly paint one of the mini-exp pedals we sell in the future, but I'm not sure yet.

We can't do a lot with the mini-exp pedals till we move to Portland (in a month or two), but once we get there and get settled down, it'll be my main project outside of the daily running of the business.

We'll start out with an expression / volume pedal with multiple exp outs, and maybe a built in boost... not really sure at this point... just throwing around ideas. We'll hopefully have something available come February or March. We're hoping to sell them as low as $135 (I know... twice as much as most volume / exp pedals... but we're hoping to pack it full of features, and of course you'll be getting something you can't with the bigger pedals... space!).

Following the mini vol/exp will be delay, phase, tremolo, fuzz, and ring mod if things work out well... oh, and of course... wah! :')
