Members erksin
Wife and kid are out for the AM, so I cranked it up and let loose for the past 1 1/2 hours. Had really, REALLY great tone happening today for some reason - totally inspirational. Wrote two songs on the spot - no effort involved - just flowed. I love days like this... Members Midrange
Tubes must be just to that perfect warmed up point? That's what I blame it on. Sometimes I sound like a god. Sometimes I sound like a 14 year old kid with cheapo equipment. Just the mood I suppose. Rawk it!
Members opultaM
Oddly enough, I was really happy at my bassist's apartment the other day. We were both playing into his fender bass practice amp and all i was using was a boss ds-1 (which i usually HATE through my mesa) and a DD-5. And we were playing at "it's 9pm and the landlord is a crazy polish dude who actually stares out the window at anyone comin ginto the apartment" levels. It was fun! Members mofx4me
I just had a good tone day, too. I was a/b-ing some flangers and chorus pedals for most of the time. Just got the cheapo Arion chorus and compared it to my Dano Rocky Road set up as a leslie sim and was happy with the results. After I was finished I decided to put an old preamp tube in my amp that I couldn't before because the pins were a little bent. It's an RCA 12ax7 ECC83 that I pulled out of an old console TV. I straightened the pin and it went in fine. This tube sounds nice. A lot better than the EH tube that came with the amp and a little better than the old GE that I had in there for the last couple of months. Members Wilbo26
Yeah, always seems to happen when you have no intention of recording or remembering anything you played.
