Members Trent Bale
No lie. Told him, too much bass, too much mids, too much treble. Too much distortion too. Guitarist moves bass player hand away from OD and EQ pedals. Pushing. Bass player says, "I play guitar...blah blah." Unreal. When bandmates know best, what to do? Vote? Members Fiery Furnace
If he's right about some things, fix them. Sometimes guitarists have too much bass on their amps and it kills the bass. No such thing as too much treble. Unless it's, like, ice picks. If he's wrong about everything, tell him he's wrong. I'm the same way and I probably wouldn't change either, so then just kick him out.

Members yjsays
I had that happen, I told him, "Don't mess with my pedals, if you have a problem with something then just tell me." oh yeah, I ended up quitting the band, one of the reasons is because they went acoustic due to no drums and no bassist. suxorz. Members Unstrung
Why don't you try his suggestion? You might not like how you sound as much when he changes it up but you might just be able to hear the rest of the band better. Do you think he's trying to make you sound like crap? Ofcourse not. Chances are he's trying to make the band's sound as a whole work better.

Members psalt_phallow
Well if he's actually reaching over and turning knobs that's just too rude. Best thing to do it to re-evaluate your tone in relationship to the entire band and then decide if he was being a prick or trying to help the band. After than it's decision time as to what happens. If your tone is all treble, you will also {censored} things up in the overall sound because the cymbals, crashes, etc that the drummer uses will also collide with the treble guitar. The solution is mids... mids.. MIDS! (and some trebel and some bass).

Members Kap'n
Depends. Do you trust your bass player's ears? I do the fine tuning, but sometimes band members make sound suggestions to each other, including me. Often, they're right.
Members Fast Frets
Bass player needs to be smiling through a Verzilla. Just say, "Don't touch my {censored}. Period. If you have a suggestion tell me. But don't touch my {censored}." Following this with "Asshole" is optional.
