Just thought about this because last night, I've learned something new about my 1984 volvo station wagon.

Whenever I turn on my blinkers to make a turn, my car dies.... Everytime! I'm kinda pissed. People keep honking at me.

What, you didn't go to Asian Driving School? Blinkers are optional. Don't use them if they kill your car. Make people guess where and when you will be turning, it's actually a fun game that you can play to get to know your fellow drivers. Try swerving a little to make it extra-challenging.

this racist joke has been brought to you by clich

Ha ha ha, that is what happened with our Impala years back. The turn signal wire was shorting the ignition wires so that the car would think you were shutting it off. WE actually had to get the mechanic to sit in the car as we did this before they believed it was happening.

I had an old ford 390-V8 with some teeth missing on the flywheel. Sometimes I would turn the car off and the spot where those missing teeth were would line up with the starter gear. Next time I go to start the car, all I would get is a loud buzzing sound of the starter trying to engage the flywheel with no teeth.

I had to get out, pop the hood, and crank the engine a few degrees by hand by pulling on the fan...the connected belts turned the crank enough so that the starter would catch then.
