Members AtomHeartMother
Anyone use this to power their pedals? Does it work well? I plan to use it to power a Digitech Digidelay and a Boss TR-2 (initially at least, more will be added). I assume it works for both of these? The daisy chain thing looks wierd. It's OK to have extra ones hanging off without pedals connected? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Visual-Sound-1-SPOT-Combo-Pack?sku=151694 How does it compare to the Godlyke, which is $10 more? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Godlyke-PA9-PowerAll-Power-Supply?sku=155051
Members anti-flag193
I have it. Works great. I power about 5 pedals with it.
Members cantoXIII
never tried the godlyke, but the 1-spot is all i've ever used to power my pedals. i use it for basically everything i have expect a dl4. in total, i power 8 various stompboxes [all mass marketed, non-boutique] without a single problem. i'd say go for it! at that price it's seriously a steal. Members crispete
I use one too. Have 11 pedals hooked up to it with an extra daisy chain. It's ok to have extra plugs to spare, that's what there for, just make sure the exposed extra plugs dont get caught underneath the edge of your Ernie Ball volume pedal. That cause a wierd power blackout for a second for me. No harm done though. Just put a piece of electricians tape around the extras if your'e worried. Worth every penny. Also make sure the pedal you are going to use is the same polarity and voltage as the 1-spot.

Members FDZ
Running two 1SPOT daisy chains off a Boss PSA240 here, with a couple of excess plugs wrapped in electrical tape and tucked out of the way. I'm actually surprised at how much I can power off the single adaptor.
Members comfortablynumb
I've had two. The first one died because I wasn't careful with it and accidently cut the cord at the base. The new ones are actually heavier duty than the old ones. It has the thicker standard electrical cord rather than the flimsy wall wart cord. The only complaint I have with these is the power cord is about 10' long. I don't know about you but it's hard for me to conceal 10 feet of extension cord on a pedalboard. Either way, it's a great value.

Look online and check if the adaptor is center negative or center positive. Most production pedals will work just fine.
Members crispete
Most pedals have a polarity label/symbol on the bottom of them. Make sure it matches the label on the bottom of the 1-spot. Or check the wall-wart for the pedal you want to use the 1-spot with and check it. My Digitech and Boss stompbox pedals are fine with it. Double check using it with Digitech RP multi-effects pedals though. I'd check myself but I'm not at home right now in order to look. Here's a link with the polarity symbols I'm talking about. http://www.accesscomms.com.au/reference/polarity.htm

VS sells adapters that plug into the main line, put 'em anywhere you want. I use one for my EHX Muff.
Members whitepapagold
Beware, the potential noise issues you may read about are 100% true. I have one but CANNOT USE IT AT ONE OF THE RECORDING STUDIOS I WORK AT! It just buzzes its little heart out. 90% of the time it will work beautifully but if you hear noise all the sudden at a new location, it could be the one spot. If you gig out, this could potentially be a nightmare. If you don't, I say buy it! It really does work well most of the time.
Members mmcquain
I'm using a single 1-Spot to run this entire board. Have been using it for 3 years with no problems. The daisy chain plugs are all the Boss-style and work great with the MXR, Dano, Boss, etc. I did put a longer shaft length plug on the "end of the line" plug so it would make better contact inside the CryBaby (which has a thicker shell (thus needing the exta plug depth). 1-Spot are great. I have another one running a slightly smaller pedal board (also with no problems).
Members CHOUTMUSIC
I had no idea 1 spot came in combo packs for this cheap. I just dropped almost $40 for the adaptor and daisy chain individually!
Members SpectralJulian
I have a One Spot- works nicely. I don't see the point of those bricks and stuff because not all my pedals have their standard voltages and I need a power strip on my board anyways. Also, having extra unconnected plugs is perfectly OK. People do recommend either velcroing tying them away from your pedals because if they touch the chassis it can cause a ground loop. Don't know about the DMM, but the One Spot does not work with a Whammy 4 -- the Whammy 4's 9V ac, and the One Spot spits out 9V dc. My Whammy's out for a mod to accept ac power. c
