It doesn't use Flash so that is not true. Every site that uses Flash is the worst site I have ever used.

Totally agreed with Flash.

But from an info architecture point of view, it could be reorganized to make it easier to find things. There's a lack of hierarchy.

Oh jeez, maybe I should leave my work at work.

I come from a time when using ctrl+f to search large fields of text was normal, so those issues don't really bother me. I guess much of my love for his site is simply nostalgia for the internet before it became so flashy.

And if anyone is keeping score...GET THE {censored}ING IMBEDDED VIDEOS OFF THE FRONT PAGE OF HARMONY CENTRAL. And god bless Adblock for saving me from them whenever I do have to venture to that page.

Embedded Flash is being used to positive effect all over the place.

But people who build their entire website interface in Flash..that's a whole other can of worms.

I'll admit that Flash games are a good time, but overall I can't stand it. And there are still some large companies that have entire sites based in Flash. It baffles the mind.

In defense of flash and in agreement with Fuzzinator, we definitely live in a day and age where there is far less flash junk on the web and actual examples of enhanced interactive experiences that could not be achieved with javascript, html, xhtml, etc.

But now to pull a flip flop, we're probably still about 5 year away from truly seeing the potential of flash as it's still a very limited application/programming language at this point. Better integration of media desperately needed and design schools need to focus more on using Flash as a tool to communicate your message through text, image, animation rather than teaching you how to use the program. Hence bull{censored} flying type for no reason and scaling pics of people's dogs.

looking at his website feels a bit like getting the chance to have a look at his shelves, you go mad but you are sure to find some gems.
And id' much rather have him and his emplyees bulding stuff than looking after the site, i do want my kot before i get artritis!
