Members pjrake
hello all, i want to make my current chain better. any advice and suggestions is greatly appreciated!!! my current rig: gibson les paul standard with mark tremonti treble pickups to mesa/boogie dual rectifier. chain is: boss tu-2 tuner, maxon compressor, boss ns-2 noise suppressor. effect loop: electro harmonix small clone full-chorus (eh 4600) and ibanez de7 delay/echo. the problem is i'm a bit confused with the back of the amp's setting. there are a few knobs for the send/return and i can't dial in a nice setting. it's as if the delay and chorus cannot be heard (both at 12'clock settings) or too loud at full and in between it still sounds bad. i was thinking of just putting everything direct (although i know delay and chorus should go in the loop). the problem also with the loop is extra plugs and cables i have to run and when going onstage and the soundguy is rushing you and everything it takes too long. also, when rehearsing in the studio sometimes their amps either do not have loops or it's just too confusing. can anyone help me make my chain better and enhance my tone? the funny thing is that at home i practice with a line6 PODxt and the sound is great!!! i would love to recreate that sound with my live rig (just the effects, not the actual tone) anyway, thank you all for your help!!!
