What are you thoughts on this..

Does it make things slightly harder to accomodate her..?

No more farting pranks.. Vulger language of taking {censored}s.. random things you normally don't talk about around a female..

and then if your on tour and its that "time" man..

dude.. thats sick. i can't stand it when women talk about stuff that isnt "pretty thoughts"

makes me sickly unattracted to the entire species of women..

I'm talking to a girl right now. Grew up with 2 brothers and a single mother, and she refers to "taking slams" or a friend asking her to go into the bathroom with her while they "take a slam" and i'm just like {censored}ING HELL I CAN'T TAKE THIS..

women like that probably "poot" on the first date..

The only problem I had with the girl in my old band was that she lacked motivation. She would rather go ice skating or see a {censored}ty movie than practice.

We never stopped with the dirty jokes and constant innuendo, though. She was a changed girl after that band, I tell you...

What are your motives? If the girl can play, who cares if she toots (who the hell says 'toot'?)?
I welcome any like-minded, talented musician to my band. If you really want to play professionally, and you know of the tight quarters, the farts, etc,,then you already knew that the situation wouldn't work for you!

It appears you may have some sexual leanings that you don't want to admit to yourself, but want someone to tell you.

OK, I'd say you have some bi-curious issues. I;m not trying to be a jerk, I'm being honest. Oh well, that doesn't mean your going to do anything about it.

no i agree with that.. i have a lot of personal overcomings to get over.. and a few of those could be used in relationships as well.

I've just never been put in that situation in the "work scene" though.. I don't have to many gross girl friends.. Most girls i'm friends with are spoiled, keep themselves nice and neat, and no problems.. but i'd be willing to change if she was good on the bass.. Thats the position we are looking for..

I don't accomadate anyone, which is probably why most guys won't play with me either.

If she really can't handle it, maybe she shouldn't be in the band instead of expecting me to change.

Besides, I'm more like this guy...

I've played with a girl singer before and you'd be surprised how much easier it is for her to get the drummer and bass player to shut up. When she says get serious they do. I wish I could do that.

I didn't have that problem the last time I was in a band. The gun always seemed to get their attention. :D

We treat the girl singer in our band just like one of the lads. We even make obscenely sexist jokes (well I do anyway), around her or even directed at her and she just loves it. In fact I've never had to be careful about saying anything around her.

When first looking at her you wouldn't think she was into the rock n roll scene, she seems more like a "girly" girl, but she's totally passionate about her singing and loves the music. Its rare to find someone (boy or girl) you get along with so easily who totally loves the music, without having to change the way you act and watch what you say around.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, every girl is different so if it doesnt work out first time with a girl in the band don't think it never will.

The coverband I'm in has a female vocalist. She is great, very ambitious and always pushing us guys to rehearse more and coming up with new songs to learn. Another nice aspect is that you get to play songs you have never even considered before. Makes the repertoire fresh and more exciting. BUT there is one dark cloud on the horizon...

If I ever did end up joining a band with a woman, I would probably behave myself until I knew how cool she was.

If she joined my band, I would tell her upfront that she would receive no special treatment. I'm not a vulgar guy, but if a dirty joke, sexist remark, burp, or fart came out, I wouldn't care. She's not going to screw up my project.

Sounds like the "battle {censored}s" scene from Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.

That scene's so messed-up that you just might laugh your way out of your repulsion!

I think that, regardless of gender issues, farting in a small studio is generally frowned upon.

That being said, the bassist in band is a girl. My ex-girlfriend, for that matter, and the other guitarists' current girlfriend (and he's one of my best friends, too). Fun stuff.

She's cool, but she can't really play - we just teach her the root notes and she plays them. She's just there 'cause we haven't found anyone else.
