Members DylanWilde
Um. . . TS-9 is a gritty overdrive with a slightly humped midrange. . .this makes it sound if anything "boxy" and able to stand out/cut through in a mix of instruments A Muff is a thick fuzz with way more gain, and has a fairly scooped midrange. IF you were to be playing with your TS-9 in a live mix with a stock Big Muff, then it would seem like your guitar just dissappeared out of the mix. That's what the mid schoop does to you. But it will get you sounds that are HUGE and crazy and beastly relative to what your TS-9 sounds like. Most people here favor the Little Big Muff for the stock sound. . .if you want to mod it, maybe to get rid of the mid scoop, then go with the NYC reissue.
