Members Daryl Chaney
Hi,Im looking for a good ring mod pedal for my rig.I've been obsessed with fuzz/od/distortion the past year or so and i need something extra to make things even more insane. What i've looked at so far is - Moogerfooger ring mod , Lovetone Ring Stinger, (these maybe too big for my pedal board) ,Zvex ringtone. Is there any other competition for these pedals out there? Lastly im a bassist, so if anyone out there is as stupid as me to put 16 effects into a rig and use them all, let me know. Its very strange at gigs with other bassists (and guitarists) staring at my boards, eventually saying "you use that for the bass" and "holy {censored}"
Members Non de Guerre
Mooger, man. It's a killer pedal and the pric difference between it and the Stinger just isn't sensible in my mind. It does a great tremolo feel pulsing as well, which is gorgeous on bass. Members handofthehost
Frostwave Blue Ringer is a great sounding ring mod, and sturdily built.
Members NITEFLY182
The EHX frequency analyzer is cleaner and therefore will maintain more of your low end. Your poll needs to address the many other options on the market.

Members Daryl Chaney
Ah i forgot about the EHX freq analyzer, cant change the poll though. The only thing about the EHX FA, and the Moog ring mod is that they are bloody huge, and take up mounds of space on a board. The Frostwave blue ringer and Zvex ringtone are tiny in comparison. Size is a factor for me.The Lovetone Ring Stinger is out cause it costs as much as a second hand car.The Moog/Zvex are around 280euroThe Frostwave/EHX are around 180euro.So what would you guys go for?I'd be leaning more towards the moog/frostwave/ehx because of the better versitility. And then towards the Frostwave cause its smaller, cheaper and has more knobs than the EHX. Which would be best for sound quaility and versitility ?Cheers guys.Oh, If any moderators view this could you add EHX freq Analyser and Frostwave Blue ringer to the poll, thanks. Members NITEFLY182
The frostwave stuff is more synth oriented. I dont think their pedals work well for guitar at all really. The ringtone probably wouldnt be suited for bass as much since its more of a melody oriented pedal.

Members bieke
I have the Moog and the EHX Frequency Analyzer, and I sold my Frostwave Blue Ringer. The Moog is fantastic, the EHX is fun, the Frostwave was too extreme
