Members scanbait
I play harmonica and am looking around to get a pedal that can hold one note I play on it, so then can play tunes over the top. I know about loop stations, but wondering if anyone knows of a simple pedal that just holds one note, preferably a note I choose! Any idea's? Members Johnny Beverage
Digitech Synth Wah. Make sure you check it out with your guitar before you buy. As far as I can tell, it doesn't like any axe with an overtly bassy character. Oh, and don't even think about running it off a battrery! eats em for lunch....PLUS when your not droning, you can auto wah....

Members autopilot
i think your best option is getting a small keyboard and running some delays and do some swells with a volume pedal
Members SamJam03
what about the hold function of the DD6?
Members CicadaSilence
Harmonica is the {censored}. I'm just learning to play harmonica myself. Any old hold delay should hook you up with what you need. Bear in mind that most of them have about two seconds of delay or less. Ibanez DDL Digitech PDS 1000, 1002, 2000, or 8000. DOD FX94 Boss DD series (With the possible exception of the DD2) Then theres your actual loopers, like the Boss RC series, the Line 6 DL4, Akai Headrush, etc. I think it's a little easier to use this type of looper, as opposed to a hold delay. Members CHOUTMUSIC
You can tune drone notes with the Filter Matrix setting on the EH Poly Chorus.
Members GuyaGuy
some cheapie tuners like the old ones made by Walco sound a note thru the speaker. the Walco only does E and A but maybe there's another one out there that does at least all 6 string notes.or get a self-oscillating fuzz or a feedback looper! Members psalt_phallow
Get a full fledged looper. It'll work great for this type of thing and allow you to do more than just one held note.
Members llllllllllllllllllllllll
Some kind of fuzz, especially a big muff, and some kind of harmonizer/whammy effect.edit: didn't read the whole first post, and apparently others didn't, either.I play harmonica and am looking around to get a pedal that can hold one note I play on it, so then can play tunes over the top. I know about loop stations, but wondering if anyone knows of a simple pedal that just holds one note, preferably a note I choose! Any idea's? Cheers If you want something cheepish, you can do this with a Boss DD-5's hold feature.
Members Elliott Damage
holy {censored}! nobody (including me) read the first post! I would get something like the boss dd-3. It has a hold mode that will play a sample for as long as you hold it down. Plus I think it would sound great with harmonica.

Plus I think it would sound great with harmonica. i read it and still stand by my suggestion.there's a difference between a constant drone and a loop drone. usually to get a seemless drone by looping (or delaying) you have to have 3 layers or so, which means you have to get the levels just right, etc.or you could get Spiritualized's Pure Phase Tones for D.J.'s!!
