HELP! TS9 issues

So I tried changing the stock LED on my ts-9 to a brighter one and now I'm having some problems. I simply unsoldered the old one, added the new one and that was it. when I plugged it in, there was a pretty serious volume loss and the tone and gain knobs don't seem to be doing anything. I put the old led back in and tried it again, and got the same thing.

I have checked and double checked to make sure I didn't pull out any connections by accident. I am at a loss now for why this thing is acting up.

Any Tube Screamer doctors in the house?

HELP!

Now I have a question. I would also like to do this. Where did you get the brighter led? I want one too.

How do I know which ones will be brighter than the one I already have? I have an Analogman TS9 Silver and the only thing keeping it from being perfect is the led is so dim I can hardly see it.

hmm, I thought mike replaced the stock LEDs with every mod he did? well I guess you can try a new one and if you don't like it you can reverse it. its a very simple procedure.
