Members Bloo
Pros: 1- for me the big one was that it made the Tone knob a lot more useful, increased the range 2- made the gain a bit smoother (if you like that) i kind of dig the stock grainy gain 3- it has the awesome Bass boost switch (probably more useful for single coiled guitars, i have HB's so i use it sparingly Cons: well, a lot of folks don't like the fizziness that you get with the attack, i kind of dig it this is all i got, hope it helps
Members hbar
It has been my main overdrive/distortion for several years now.
Members terry_nunn
no cons, except the price. anyone handy w/ an iron can take out the clipping diodes and change a coupla cap values.
Members Headlow
The main pro I can think of is that it gets on so damn well with the fuzzhead. I tried another overdrive recently that was probably a better individual pedal, but it just didnt sound as good in tandem with the Fuzzhead. Members godard
I did the Monte Allums H20 mod, which is very similar, I definately think it improved the tone of it.
Members BIG TIM
The tone knob on it is pretty much useless at this point.I'm lookin for a 'fuller' sound out of it. Out of the box it sounds decent just a little one dimensional or flat to me...Hope that description makes sense to all of ya

I agree, the only other pedal I like with the FH is the Keeley Flexi TS-9 2x4 I set the Flexi clean and the FH dirty for leads

Members BIG TIM
Looks like I'll be sending the pedal to Mr. Keely...
Members wacopacco
it's a great pedal. It really smoothes out the gain and the tone knob is much 'less' useless with the mod. It's still a blues driver though. Dont expect it to sound like a different pedal.
Members BIG TIM
I like the sound of the pedal overall on some of the tunes I do, but, I'd like it to be a little 'fatter'...

Well, the Phat switch may do it for you - I personally found it really boomy. You might actually want something with a little more mids like a newer version OCD or MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe if you're going after fatness with clarity. Interesting. I got the Freak Fuzz version & it does sound like a completely different pedal to me, much better than stock.

Members General Delgado
I had one once and thought it sounded like...a pedal. Which it is, so I shouldn't have been disappointed, but I was. I've heard pedals that sound much more amplike IMO.
