Members Psychedelic Trip Posted January 3, 2007 Members Share Posted January 3, 2007 My Vox 847 has a terrible squeal in the toe down position with any of my guitars when I have my fuzz on. I wouldn't say my tone was overly trebley to begin with and I have heard other people have had the same problem with the V847 so I think I'll invest in a new one. Looking for something that will be great for psych, my main influence is Barrett. What would you guys recommend. I've narrowed it down to: Vintage Vox (hopefulyy this wont have the same problem as my RI vox)Geoffrey Teese RMC Picture WahBudda Wah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members BBTweed Posted January 3, 2007 Members Share Posted January 3, 2007 Budda sounds pretty vox-like IMO. I have had one for about 5 or 6 years now without a single problem. I haven't even had to replace the pot yet. However, I don't use fuzz. I couldn't tell you how the Budda will act with it. I think wah pedals have a weird relationship with fuzz typically. I have hardly anything else in my rig. I have a Telecaster and a Harmony Rocket. I use the Telecaster more often, into a '66 Blackface Bassman.
