Members ZJD
Here's a youtube clip with just the music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppIpA91DOmk I'm wondering what's making the dirt tone for the lead part. It sounds like a nice gritty tone with plenty of sustain so I like it. Any clue as to what may have been used? Maybe the time of the song's release will have something to do with the type of guitar/amp combo? Thanks.

Members CapnMarvel
ES-335 to Ge Fuzz Face to Marshall 100W, most likely (not sure on the amp, but that's probably it). There's some tape flanging in there at the end, too. Seems like a Mayo might be too gainy and unwieldy for this kinda thing.
Members ZJD
Yeah the ES-335 is definitely doing the sustain. I'll try pluggin' these in: to an amp with EL84s.

If i was using a 335 tho i dont think it would nail it with the mayo.
