Members doomy3
I am looking at trading for a 69 Champ. How do pedals sound through them?

Members doomy3
Allright, I guess that answers that question. Next question is how much is one of these in near perfect shape worth?

Members capnbringdown
Threre was a thread a few days ago about champs that had a post with a good price guideline for them. Why not try a search? And they love pedals. Try a big muff variant through one.
Members erksin
What speaker is in that thing? And it looks like there is a hole drilled in the upper back panel - WTF? Depending on the year (if you can get the codes off the trannies that would be great), I'd only go as high as $300...

Speaker is a replacement 8" Weber FerromaxThe guy who I have been talking to said this about the hole in the back:"A previous owner had installed a line out jack through the back of the upper panel, which was removed before I got the amp. It did leave a hole about 1/4" diameter."I am talking to him about trading this for it:What do you think? Make the deal?

Find out how old it is first - anything after 1974 is gonna come with a plywood cabinet instead of solid pine (affects the resale somewhat). Have you played it? If you dig it and don't use the guitar then go for it I guess. Personally, it seems like it's been hacked on somewhat - I'd be cautious unless you can have a tech take a look at it first. I'd put it at $250 as is - no more than $300 for sure, if the guitar is worth more than that he'll be getting a deal IMO...

I really don't play the 335 much, but just wanted to make sure I was getting a decent deal.

It IS a '69 - I didn't enlarge the pics the first time I looked at them - missed the aluminum trim around the grill cloth... It's tough to say without you being able to see it in person but I guess I'd go for it. It'll only go up in value - the Epi won't.
Members paydirt
There is $25 worth of Armorall on that thing. Because I haven't heard it or know the year; by the looks of it he would be getting the better end of the deal. But if it's a guitar you don't mind parting with... Well it's your decision. Not a horrible trade either way, just slightly lopsided in his favor. But most trades are at least slightly lopsided.
