Members spoonie g
I need a low gain overdrive for my rig. I want something kind of soft and not mid-hump-ish but still has cut. I was thinking mi audio blues boy deluxe, but is that have the ts hump?
Members dan-o-guitar
It is not for everybody, but the much-maligned Rocktron Austin Gold is a very solid pedal with a somewhat unique low-gain. It also has a pre-bass tone stack that is quite useful in low gain situations. Most folks give it a bad rap after trying it and expecting TS-9/SD-1 levels of gain. It doesn't do that, but it does do a clean/mild overdrive very nicely. Finally, since they have a bad rap, you can pick them up used for cheap. Members GCDEF
Bad Monkey's pretty low-gain and smooth.

BBD = the way to go...soo many options... can dial the mids in or out, and smoother Rocktron Austin Gold is my second vote. Mids are dialed out by the pre bass, add more pre bass and it thickens up and the mid hump begins to go away. A touch grittier than the BBD and not as much gain on tap. Members gil1
Barber LTD. Silver has no mid hump. Black has some mid hump, but it is not overpowering, and sounds great.

JFET, 2 gain stages. Nothing med-high gain tho. Very natural and responsive to your guitar/amp. Great as a boost too.

Members erksin
Any one of these have the qualities you're looking for - they just have different OD voicings: Timmy (BF Fendery) Liquid Sunshine (small 6V6 amp tweedyness) Blue Boy Deluxe (smooth TS type, but with control over the Mids)
