transparency and natural clipping, the boost circuit would goose it into gain levels higher than a TS9, hopefully.

I was using the Red Snapper side of my Fish Factory alongside a SHO/SD2-1 with a 330 & AC30/Sound City for a long time quite happily. The Snapper isn't mid-humped and does moderate overdrive pretty well. The SHO is of course a little bright but that's what I tend to go for. I've heard the Catalinbread boost is a real killer unit, but no first hand experience.

i see.... so you want two footswitches?

i dunno about that, i wold vote for the newly re-designed silver kiss if you need a versatile boost/OD. the eqs are super responsive and but i would get two pedals if i were you, that way if you are unhappy with one, you can change it.

doesnt someone have a jeckyl and hyde in the spam thread? they are super popular...

The Banzai Fireball fits the bill perfectly. Super amp-like break up, natural midrange that accentuates a thick 335 sound without making it honky the way a TS9 would do, & a boost that adds saturation, not just volume. That's the one Robben Ford uses to get his tone when a Dumble isn't available & he plays (played? Not sure what he's playing these days) a similar sort of guitar.

i'd sell you my insane gain which is 3 lpb1's in a row cascaded but I like having it around too much its a keeper.

I have to say though that if you have the means i highly recomend that you pickup a klon while the price is still reasonable yes i just said that.

It's more natural sounding than the LPB 1 in that it feels like it peels your skull back and lets the tone hit you smack in the brain without making it filter thru your ears skin tissue etc. it is a psychadelic feeling playing the klon.

FD-2? the flat mids is pretty transparent and it gets a bit more gain IMO. it seems to me the way to go is get a transparent boost (rocktron austin gold) and boost it into whatever OD is your flavor. but yeah, i think the FD2 is nice.
