Members adamsnez
Hi, months ago i bought an OD808, and didnt recieve my tube amp until last month, so i never used it.Looking at it, it didnt look "right".the OD knob is about 1/4" higher than the other knobs.you can see the knob screw threads to it below. So today i finally plugged it into my NS2 pedal and powered it up. Balance works, CHECK. Tone works, CHECK. Overdrive works, NOT CHECK! im angry. i paid 85usd for this and the OD doesnt even work!! i used it with my S.State amp but thought because it wasnt tube the OD wasnt going to be as present (even though it was F'ed!!) do you guys have any recommendations as to how to fix this? right now i have an 85$ piece of metal.. i dont even know where to begin, when i open it up there is the circuit board that is covering up the backside of the knobs and i cant even find out how to take it off. Im going to email maxxon but do you gutys have suggestions? Thanks
Members adamsnez
ok so i fixed the height of the knob, had to adjust the nut on it.. i need to know how to get the circuit board out now, must i remove the other two knobs (maybe there are nuts on both sides of the cover plate to hold it in.. it appears the OD knob has broken loose of the circuit board, as it moves around freely. gotta remove the circuit board to see, but how? Members andreas
I might remember it wrong, but I think the pots are soldered to the circuit board. If that's the case, you need to take all three knobs off and remove the nuts/washers for the pots. There might also be a screw or two holding the pcb down. Also, take care when you pop the board out and put it back in, as the LED might be sitting on the main pcb. If you bend its legs, it can be quite hard getting it to fit again. /Andreas
Members vanguard
the board comes out freely when you remove the 2 screws that hold it in. nothing is connected to the board...

Hm, I might have remembered it wrong. But I distinctly remember removing the pots as well - maybe it was to get at the LED? Anyway, what happened with the drive pot? Does it still rotate freely, or was it just the knob that didn't sit right? /Andreas
Members adamsnez
all knobs rotate. i fixed the height of the overdrive knob. the only thing that is wrong with it now is the actual OVERDRIVE does not work.. i can rotate it max/min and no sound change.
