Members mattpas
For those who have a Crunch Box and Blues Pro Overdrive,if your Blues Pro gain is all the way maxed out where would you say the gain knob would be on the crunch box to match it? Members Hamer95USA
Hey mattpas, I own the Crunch Box v2, but not the Blues Pro. How does the Blues Pro sound compared to an Ibanez Tube Screamer? Guitar George

Members KarateSchnitzel
no idea as to the original q but the bp has less prominent mids and is more transparent than a ts to my ears..

Members Wood Chuck
Originally posted by mattpas I saw it, THANK YOU! the ratio I posted I feel is correct being that I own both pedals, however the voicing some say is similar. I do not agree with that, the CB is all about hot rod marshall. the BP is a higher gain ts9 variant with more gain and great bottom end!!
Members OT?
Sorry to steal the thread a little although its a similar question, regarding the same pedals. I'm between buying one of either of these myself at the moment after falling in love with clips on the MI site. I'd love to get both but money needs to go elsewhere. I was wondering how well the Crunch Box "cleans up" so to speak at lower gain levels?

The pedal gain all the way to the left gives you an AC/DCish type of gain. If you use the Volume on the guitar to clean up your sound it sounds like a lower level dirty sound. This is why I am trying to find out about the Blues Pro because if I can figure out how much gain it has maxed compared to the Crunch box I might get one of those and use that as my main instead of the Crunch Box. Thanks, I think I'll side with the Blues Pro for now, pick up a Crunch in a few months. I have other dirty pedals that can suffice that sort of tone for the now although I'd still love a Crunch. Haha, when I first saw this thread I laughed, it was more or less the sort of question that was running through my head > searching the net, regarding the boxes. Members Bucketboy
The Blues Pro has a suprising amount of gain, but it's not all that crunchy or as high gain as the Crunch Box.

Members dysorexia
nah I'm just pulling your chain. I'm guessing you have the crunch box correct? Do you also have the Blues Pro? It really depends what kind of sound you're going for. The crunchbox on a low setting is kind of punchy which pairs up great with the grit and growl you get from the blues pro. I have the crunch box and I find that I don't really go past 12 o'clock and I wish it cleaned up more. Since I have limited funds I was just trying to figure out if the Blues Pro might be better for me. If I had unlimited funds I probably would have 20 different dirt boxes. Members dysorexia
better? yeah, they're stackable. It's a good 200 dollar investment if you ask me. What kind of guitar/amp are you using? and what style of music more importantly.

CB gain at around 11/12 oclock and Im thinking whether the BP might be better. except Im thinking money spent on a pedal could go to a better guit that Im saving for. bump
