Ah! I know *nothing* about fuzz, and there's so much out there, it seems, it's just overwhelming. What's good for a fuzz noOb?
Members inscho
can you think of any band that uses a fuzz sound that you like? the bb-1 is a roland beebaa fuzz, very nasty. here is the barge concepts webpage for it (complete with sound samples):http://www.bargeconcepts.com/bbstandard.html and here is a quick clip I made a while back when I owned one:http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=4610468&q=hi
Members JDandCoke
you definately need more dirt on there.... maybe a fuzz if your amp covers normal dirt

Members draelyc
You guys are definitely all about teh fuzz, then, eh? I'm running my amp set for AC/DCish crunch, rolling back the volume for cleans & using the BBD as a boost for high gain, fwiw. What about the ring modulator that inscho mentioned, or other "special effects" type stuff? I don't even know what all's out there to choose from....
Members inscho
well the moog ring mod can do tremolo too, so that would be 2 birds with one stone
Members CapnMarvel
As far as I'm concerned, ring mod is a waste of time to have permanently on a board. If you use it on more than one tune, and you aren't a member of Einsturzende Neubauten, you need to get your head checked. You've got modulation very well covered (I'm jealous), delay works, OD is good....I'm thinking stanky, deep fuzz ala the Bee Baa. You like Neil Young's raspy, cranky, shoreline-shelling fuzz tone? Get a Bee-Baa.
Members comfortablynumb
I'd go for a trem, but that's just me.

Don't know 'bout all that, , but I've looked at the Keeley Fuzz Head before, or the Analog Man Sun Face .... those have a pretty good rep, no?As a side note, speaking of delay, is there an analog delay out there that has the "mojo" of the DMM without some of the quirks (e.g., the input overloading so quickly)? Just wondering...

I might have to think about this one pretty hard... But, I know nothing about trems -- would I run in in my loop or in front of the amp? Or would it matter? Members Daryl Chaney
Oooooothat empress is what all tremolo pedals should be like. the BB-1 sounds amazing too. id go with the empress to fill that gap - you can always combine your dirt pedals you have atm for some nastiness.I should really stop coming here , i've just added 3 pedals to my growing wish list. - bb-1/vfb-2/empress trem
