Members EzzO)))
Hey everybody, I'm thinking about trading in my little vox valvetronix for a POD XT. I do a little recording on a digital 8 track and I don't really like the way the vox sounds when going directly into the 8 track (mic'ing isn't really an option). Anyway I am interested in the Pod XT, I like the sound demos I've heard and people seem to really like it. There is one effect in particular that I am interested in. AUTO PAN Is this an effect thats intended to be used on its own or is it meant to be linked with other effects (phaser for example) to create a stereo image? This has been confusing me for a while and I can't seem to find any info on it.Thanks

Adding auto-pan to a mono source such as a straight guitar sound will pan it around the speakers at desired speeds.
Members KEB
Yes, the auto pan is an effect in itself, and it's lumped in with the mod effects on the Pod. Incidentally, this means you can't have an auto-panned chorused sound, for example, since the Pod can do only one mod effect at a time -- one of the Pod's limitations. Members EzzO)))
Nutz! I was hoping it could be used to create a panned phaser sound. I guess it makes sense though, chaining to many modulation effects could get messy. I think the Pod has a lot of great effects but I'm surprised it only has one or two phasers, granted a phase 90 sounds sweet but still. I don't suppose you guys have tried the FX Junky effects pack? Does that have a stereo phaser in it? Just curious.
