Members RoboPimp
I have an acoustic gig I'm working up with me and a upright bass player... I'm looking for a few overplayed, cheesey songs to add to our list. We're doing things our own way and it doesn't matter if we're covering Britanny Spears or Pink Floyd... we're spinning them around in our own way but we want to do stuff that everybody knows. So hit me with your best and worst shots.
Members sense_of_henry
I used to play a lot of acoustic shows and covered a huge range of tunes. Popular ones included: Africa by TOTO Hit Me Baby One More Time by B.S. (performed more like Alice in Chains, great Am tune) Blame it on the Rain by Milli Vanilli Hey Ya by OutKast Kiss by Prince All Night Long by Lionel Ritchie etc. I always played them in my own style and it was fun to see the bar patrons ears perk up when they realized what the song was. I have had whole bars shouting the chorus to most of those songs. A lot of fun. I have to add the disclaimer that I might add one or two of these into a set, my shows (although {censored}ty) weren't an hour of cheese.

Members sense_of_henry
do you mean 'like i love you'? YouTube'd...yes, that's the one. I really like to cover the more quirky songs that people know from the radio and can sing the chorus. Beatles, Radiohead, all great, but all done a million times.
