Members Kyle_64 Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 what is so great about the DMM? as far as i know, its just another delay...im obviously missing something some please educate me...
Members comfortablynumb Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 There's some gooey mojo sweetness hiding in there somewhere. I've never tried one, so I don't really know.
Members T3 Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 it's big and ehx... must be good right? also, there were rumours that ti was being discontinued, so the hype went through the roof...
Members Kyle_64 Posted January 21, 2007 Author Members Posted January 21, 2007 i have a de-7...can it do the same thing as a DMM? beheringer cloned it...if its any good, i might test drive the clone...
Members bedtime Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 the memory man has modulation. i dont really know anything about it, but i know that much for sure. the de7 definitely can NOT do that.
Members T3 Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 to be fair, every clip i've heard of the dmm has sounded at least... interesting. i've not played one myself, but i'm certainly curious...
Members workinclasszero Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 It's just a really nice sounding delay.
Members PFDarkside Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 Yeah, it's very nice sounding. Not a bad setting on it. It's my first analog delay, but the sound can only be described as "analog". I can see what the Echo Park was shooting for on the Analog setting.

Members Midrange Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 They really do have mojo. They work really well, and do the job, but along with that is a {censored}load of style! It's big and bulky, likes to be slapped. the DMM is my bitch.
Members StratStevo Posted January 21, 2007 Members Posted January 21, 2007 My DMM was one of the last ones with an AC cord, it hummed bad, I ended up putting the ground wire on a switch, that killed the hum, then I true bypassed it..now the blend knob only effects the delayed signal. Oh Yeah..the DMM is not 550ms, its closer to 375-400. And it takes up far too much real estate for what it gives you in return
