n00b question about the DMM

what is so great about the DMM? as far as i know, its just another delay...im obviously missing something some please educate me...

also, there were rumours that ti was being discontinued, so the hype went through the roof...

the memory man has modulation. i dont really know anything about it, but i know that much for sure. the de7 definitely can NOT do that.

to be fair, every clip i've heard of the dmm has sounded at least... interesting. i've not played one myself, but i'm certainly curious...

Yeah, it's very nice sounding. Not a bad setting on it. It's my first analog delay, but the sound can only be described as "analog". I can see what the Echo Park was shooting for on the Analog setting.

i have a de-7...can it do the same thing as a DMM? beheringer cloned it...if its any good, i might test drive the clone...



y get the clone when u can get the real thing? clones can only do so much :thu:

They really do have mojo. They work really well, and do the job, but along with that is a {censored}load of style! It's big and bulky, likes to be slapped. the DMM is my bitch.:mad:

My DMM was one of the last ones with an AC cord, it hummed bad, I ended up putting the ground wire on a switch, that killed the hum, then I true bypassed it..now the blend knob only effects the delayed signal. Oh Yeah..the DMM is not 550ms, its closer to 375-400. And it takes up far too much real estate for what it gives you in return :bor:
