I picked up one of these pedals earlier in the week and can't stop playing it. Over the course of a few years, I have owned probably 50 high gain pedals and none of them have had the feel of this pedal. Tons of headroom and lots of gain. I played it thru the clean side of both B-52 tube combo amps and then compared it to the gain sides of the B-52. Hands down, the Solid Metal is better sounding and the B-52's get great reviews. The pedal is still low noise at high gain settings and has tons of gain to offer plus a scoop control if you like that type of sound. Just ordered the Liquid Blues to cover the low gain sounds.

I found these on-line for $150 new. Anyone else try one. The pedal is large: 7" x9"

yeah, i've heard them, they sound super-processed to me... real world recordings tend to give a more honest picture i think... it'll be interesting to see if you like the liquid blues as much...

The Liquid Blue recordings do not sound as good as the Womanizer, yet it is supposed to be similar minus the direct record function. Will see.
